The demand for professional income tax preparers has increased dramatically due to tax reform.  Automation and demographic changes have created new opportunities in this highly specialized profession.  Many people with spare time available during tax season - including early retirees, homemakers, career changers, college students and moonlighting professionals - are learning to meet this growing demand through a comprehensive income tax course.  The course is developed by Peoples Income Tax, Inc. of Richmond, Virginia and conducted by leading tax firms throughout the United States.

    Comprehensive Tax Course:  This course will give you a solid foundation in individual tax preparation, enabling you to complete all of the standard returns.

 

Graduation Information:

Qualified graduates are offered interviews for employment, Employment is not guaranteed and graduates are not obligated to accept employment.

The following requirements must be met for a student to be awarded a certificate of Achievement documenting successful completion of a course in The Income Tax School:

  1. Attendance.  Students must attend at least 70 percent of the class sessions (not less than 14 of the 20 classes)

  2. Grades.  Students must achieve an average grade for all course quizzes and Exams (mid-term and final) of at least 70%

Continuing Professional Education Requirements:

Graduate who are Certified Public Accountants or Enrolled Agents * may be awarded credit toward their requirements for continuing professional education (CPE) by successfully completing one of The Income Tax School Courses.

*Verification of CPE credit should be obtained before enrolling in a course since this varies from state to state.

Requesting Certificates for Graduates:

Every student who successfully completes a course of The Income Tax School that has been conducted in accordance with the required standards outline din the operations manual and the instructor's manual is eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion from Peoples Income Tax at no cost to the Student or the participating tax firm.
